Parenting is challenging.
We do the best we can
with the tools we have...
And yet without conscious effort, our parenting methods can create conflict instead of connection.
When we parent our children without working through our own history and closely examining our own programming, we are destined to repeat painful patterns we ourselves experienced as children, no matter how badly we want it to be different...
...And so the cycle continues.
Heal the wounds you experienced as a child, so your children don’t have to
Trust
Create a relationship with your children based on trust, connection and collaboration
Experience peace,
harmony and mutual understanding with your children
Regardless of the age(s) of your child(ren), there is HOPE.
Depending on where things are at for you and your family, it can be hard to believe there is the possibility of another way…
...I assure you there is!

“I was such an overwhelmed mom before this. I yelled almost every day, but more than that I had lost my joy and I just felt like I was drowning in my life most of the time. I’m building trust with my children every day now instead of tearing it down. I’m responding to my kids’ tantrums etc. most of the time in ways that I’m proud of. I truly didn’t expect to get so much out of this parenting program, but it turned out to be one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. And I know the work I did will echo positively into future generations of my family."

"Janet helped me do a lot of inner work on myself as a mother and it felt like years of therapy during an invaluable few months being coached by her. She provided me with tools on how to show up for my kids while setting and respecting my own boundaries. Her approach is beyond helpful and life-changing. "

“Coaching sessions with Janet have been exceedingly helpful in teaching me methods to better understand my reactions and guide me to the parenting choices I want to be making. I highly recommend all of Janet's services. You will likely not find anyone more understanding whose calm confidence helps you build the skills to be the best parent you can be!
Your kids will thank you."

It was after the birth of my first child that I started to realize that I needed help if I was going to be the kind of parent I yearned to be.
I was committed to having a different relationship with my children than my parents had with me. However, I knew I didn’t have all the answers and I was feeling increasingly challenged and uncertain.
I longed for ease in my parenting. I turned to books, podcasts, and conferences for help. As I was learning more, I was feeling more confident as a parent and decided I also wanted to help other parents.
I founded Loving Kindness Parenting in the fall of 2021 when I began facilitating parenting support circles at my home.
The professional training I received at Jai Institute for Parenting took my parenting to the next level. Most notable is that I am not as easily triggered; I am less reactive. I am more attuned and connected to myself (and my own needs) - as well as to my children. And overall, I’m finding SO much more satisfaction and joy in my role as a parent!
In addition to my parent coach certification and experience, I have a BA in Human Development, and hold a teaching credential. I have 13+ years professional experience working as a school teacher, with the majority of my experience being at a magnet school created for identified gifted/highly gifted/neurodivergent students. I have worked closely with families of various ethnic/cultural backgrounds.
With a focus on compassion or loving-kindness for ourselves as parents- wherever we are on our paths - each session with me is a journey. We create a space together that has the power to catalyze one's parenting path forward with substantial momentum.
I weave in breath work, somatic awareness, effective coaching methods, educational information and parenting tools that
feel
good and make sense to help guide you in the direction of healing and transformation. My clients can count on getting the results they desire.
When you book a call with me, we’ll have a conversation so that I can get a sense of what’s going on for you and your family and where I can offer support.
I’ll explain my approach and the options we have for working together. You can ask any questions you have and see what type of support would be the best fit for your life and schedule.
If it feels right to you, we can book our first session and get started. If it’s not a good fit, I will do my best to offer alternative resources or suggestions for support, wherever possible. There’s no pressure of any kind, simply an opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together.
Take the first step towards being the kind of parent you want to be!
